%X The economically important alien leafminers ( Liriomyza sativae Blanchard and L huidobrensis Blanchard) have inflicted great damage to vegetables and flowers in China.This paper describes the invading status,channels,characters of invasive leafminers,and the methods applied to control them.The mechanisms underlying the adaptation of invasive leafminers to host plants,climate and human activities are analyzed.Practical management strategies to cope withthe status quo of leafminers invasion in China are also proposed,which will provide a powerful promotion in prediction and control of biological invasion.
