The development of goldfish oocytcs are divided into 5 stages. In every stage, the distribution and arrangement of annulate lamellae have been observed under electron microscope. It was found that as oocytcs are growing, the possibility of annulate lamellae being found and the number of annulate lamellae in a stalk arc increasing gradually. Except in oogonium stage, annulate lamellae frequently appear in the ooplasm distal away from the nucleus. It is noted that pore-associated and interlamellar materials in many instances appear to be associated with polyribosomes. According to the evidence which have been observed, it is proposed that annulate lamellae in goldfish oocytes are probably differentiated from the rough endoplasmic reticulum. %K Annulate lamella %K oogencsis %K goldfish (Carassius auratus)
