%X Mating in the Brown Eared Pheasant usually begins in the early spring. During the breeding season their faces and bills become bright red and their crests wings and the back are also brightened. We have observed their sexial displays. The displays consst of greetings, invitation and feeding behaviors. Our observations have made about five o'clock in the early mornings of May 5-8, 1984. Actual matings were observed: The copulation was in full progress about 6:20 on May 8, 1984. We have also made the video of the display. The behavior of females during the egg-laying period was observed.
