%X The alimentary system in Rhinopithecus (spp) is investigated. The chief characteristics are as follows: 1. The cheek-pouches arc lacking; 2.Circumvallate papillae are three in number and arranged to form anequilateral triangle. Foliate papillae constitute five or six vertically placed plates with 4 or 5 grooves in between and 2 boundary ones, conical papillae present a flated conical form in roxellanae and brelichi, or conical in bieti; 3. The accessory parotid gland is present in a specimen of bieti. In Rhinopithecus, the sublingual duct unites with the submaxillary duct and open commonly on the plica sublingualis; 4. The oral surface of the hard palate shows 7 pairs of palate rugae, seeming to be constant in Rhinopithecus; 5.The caudal half of the thoracic section (portion) of the oesophagus is provided with a dorsal triangular rnesentery; 6. The fundus of the stomach shows sacculations and divided into two blind sacs, with two longitudinal muscular bandies. The mucous membrane extending from the oesophagus to the cardiac region of the stomach is a multi-angulated leaflet in shape. 7. The large intestine is rather long. The the length of ratio between the large intestine and the small one is 2.1:1-2.4:1. Appendix is absent in Rhinopithecus. The ascending colon is very short; 8. The liver occupies a lower position in the right hypochondrium. Lobus lateralis sinister fused with lobus centralis sinister. 9. The pancreas is divided into the head, body and caudal part in roxellanae and bieti, while into the vertical and horizontal ones in brelichi.
