%X One of the major tasks for each weapon ammunition system is to measure bullet velocity. The different methods of measuring bullet velocity have been mentioned. The measuring principle of the infrared light screen system was discussed. The main errors measuring velocity were introduced. The firing testing in target field has proved that the infrared light screen system can measure firing velocity rapidly,accurately and automatically. Compared with the other method, the infrared light screen system can approach less than 0.1% measuring velocity error.
