%X The method of Integrated Terrain Unit Mapping (ITUM) has been developed quickly in the world. ITUM is one of the important bases of computer mapping and geographicanalysis. It will increase greatly the capability of synthetical and quantitative analysis. The emphasis of the present article is placed on the introduction of this approach with Tengchong area as an example.
