%X A detailed subdivision is made in the Late Pleistocene loess-palaeosoil on Southern Loess Plateau in this paper. By means of stratigraphical structure, sporopollen analysis and geoche-mical analysis in the loess strata, we recognize six stages of vegetation, soil and climatic changes as well as loess-palaeosoil which belong to thiec climatic cycles, each with a duration of about 40000 years. Meanwhile, comparing with the different Palaeoclimatic records of Northern Hemisphere, three climatic cvcles recorded on Southern Plateau seem universal in Northern Himisphere.
