Yang Hongwei %A Wang Bin %A Ji Zhongzhen %J 大气科学进展 %D 2002 %I %X The artificial compression method (ACM) that is generally used to capture the contact discontinuity innonviscous flows is used here in the simulation of quasi-geostrophic ideal frontogenesis in two dimensions.A comparison is made among the result of the ACM, the simulation result of Cullen, and the exact solutionof the semi-geostrophic equations.
