%X Geological specimens should not be used as building stones but could be employed to tell stories,and digitization provides an efficient way to spread these stories,which are,as we call them,"information".Distributed digital sources of geological specimens can be well organized in the framework of a digital geo-museum with modern information technology,and the classified gateways will facilitate information retrieval of the geological specimen information.
