%X This paper has proposed a wavelet transform based multiscale evolutionary programming seismic tomography by firstly introducing the wavelet multiresolution analysis to the seismic tomography. The method is a global random searching method which solution vastly excels the one of linearized inverse method, thus greatly enhancing the tomographic resolution and quality of tomographic image, effectively solving the difficulty of nonlinear tomography for complicated models or high contrast velocity models. And it also provides different resolution inversion results benefiting geological interpretation of tomographic images. The practicability and good effect of the method have been proved by the numerical modeling and real cases.
