%X We propose a method to retrieve aerosol optical characteristics directly from the distribution of sky brightness. Numerical experiments show that the variation of sky brightness distribution is insensible to surface albedo. One can obtain aerosol optical characteristics by observing multiple-direction sky brightness on the ground and compared with the model calculation. From this basis, using visible channel data of GMS5 to calculate the surface albedo for the Beijing area.
