%X A new type of solitary wave solution for the higher order nonlinear Schroedinger equation(HNLSE), which governs the propagation of subpicosecond and femtosecond optical pulses in optical fibers under certain parametric conditions,is presented.The expression of this novel solution is composed of the sum of bright and dark solitary waves. The evolution of the solitary wave and its stability under some perturbations are investigated by using the numerical simulation methods.
