%X Based on raindrop category model and compared with observation, the precipitation intensity and raindrop spectrum are analyzed for three typical stratiform clouds: stratiform cloud system formed by strong front, cyclonic scale convergence and weak front system in the northern China. The results show that raindrop category model performs well in describing raindrop spectrum and precipitation intensity of stratiform cloud compared with Marshall-Palmer distribution in parameterization model, specially for clouds formed by strong and weak front system.
