%X This paper analyses urban environmental protection GIS based on Internet and three tier applications architecture and puts forward the application structure for the system according to the comparison between two tier architecture and Three tier applications Architecture During the procession of software development, the component technology becomes the most splendid method At client the remote data input, process and analysis are supplied as well as search function In order to realize the visualization of environmental models in geographical space, the environmental models are introduced into GIS and combined with GIS through a set of interfaces Under the support of GIS and models the Environment management gets great support from the system
