%X Since the late 1980s,economic globalization has become a critical factor affecting regional development in the world. It is widely believed that the impacts of globalization will be getting deeper and deeper, and more and more extensive as well. Thus, it is meaningful not only for further researches but also for regional policy-making to understand the relationship between economic globalization and regional development. This paper attempts to have a preliminary review of the studies of economic globalization and its impacts on regional development from a national, regional and firm perspective, respectively..
