%X According to the theory of the elliptic integral of the second kind and Lagrange inversion theorem,we present a new method to solve the inverse problem of Meridian arc length,which is expressed by Taylor Series generated from the cosine function of reduced latitude.It gives a analytical solution for this problem.Numerical calculations are used to illustrate the accuracy of the method and the results show that it is applicable and useful in practice.
