%X Stone weathering is one of the important contents of geomorphology, but the study of its mechanism can be also applied to the weathering of building materials and their resistance to the environmental damage. This paper, based upon some documents related to the weathering of the building materials, suggested that the thought and experiments of the weathering of the building materials are very helpful to the weathering theories of the geomorphology study. With the development of the environmental pollution, the study of the stone weathering not only aim at geomorphology theories, but also serve the applying of the building weathering and its protection.
