张小康 %A 廖常俊 %A 刘颂豪 %J 光子学报 %D 2004 %I %X An experimental formula of bending loss is suggested on the basis of conformal transformation and normalized approach used in analysis of curved optical waveguides. Bending loss as a function of the bending radius for four materials in common use are obtained by the experimental formula and the results from these curves were compared with the data reported in the manufacture of AWG. It proved that the experimental formula may be some useful in selecting minimum bend radius of a waveguide according to the request of bending loss when designing AWG. %K Bending loss of waveguide %K Bending radius of waveguide %K Experimental formula of bending loss %K AWG
