王政平 %J 光子学报 %D 1998 %I %X The design and the performance of a novel optically based Faraday current sensing element with polarization preserving totally reflecting single medium layer coatings for optical current sensing system at high voltages are reported.The sensitivity is improved by a factor of 86 7% experimentally comparing with the same head without the layers.Five of the advantages of employing this newly designed sensing element in optical current sensing system are introduced. %K Optical current sensors %K Power distribution %K Polarization %K preserving totally reflection
