The system transfer function of StripMap FMCW-SAR is different from that of pulsed SAR, therefore the efficient simulation approaches for pulsed SAR could not directly be applied to FMCW-SAR. Based on the analysis of the StripMap FMCW-SAR signal characteristics, a 2-D Fourier domain algorithm of the raw signal simulation for stripmap FMCW-SAR is proposed. The proposed algorithm computes the range and azimuth integration used in time-domain simulation method efficiently by FFT technique. With respect to the time-domain simulation, the computational load is reduced by the order of O(NaNr/log2(NaNr)).
