%X Based on the special geometrical configuration of bistatic radar and linear Frequency Modulation Continuous Ware (FMCW)principle, the ambiguity function of bistatic linear FMCW radar is derived in detail in this paper, and it is showed that the shape of ambiguity function is affected by the position of target. Furthermore, the expression of range resolution, velocity resolution and range-velocity coupling slope derived from the bistatic linear FMCW ambiguity function are the function with respect to the bistatic angle, so, the resolution characteristic has the relationship with the position of target. The conclusion of this paper can be used in the signal processing and waveform design of bistatic linear FMCW radar system.
