%X The issue of real-time coding and transmission of video over WLAN is discussed in this paper. First, a modified hybrid ARQ/FEC algorithm, based on the characteristic of video coding, which improves the performance of video transmission, is proposed. To prevent the temporal error propagation, an error resilient video algorithm, with select intact reference frames or intra coding according to the backward channel signaling, is proposed as well.
