%X This paper proposes a new estimator for estimating the parameters of K-distribution which combines U estimator with X estimator efficiently. Simulations show that this new estimator yields shape parameter estimates with lower variance when compared with previous estimators. Parameter estimates obtained from new estimator are approximately equal to the numerically evaluated Maximum Likelihood(ML) estimates when v is low.
