%X Analyzing errors of single observer-sequential BO (Bearing Only) passive location technology, a Maximum likelihood method is introduced based on 1-D coding improved genetic algorithm, in which basic least square algorithm is applied for pre-estimation. Simulations show that the method has both high precision and high practicality, for it overcomes the large search space of genetic algorithms in 2-D location.
