%X Content-based image retrieval is a key technique in multimedia, network communication and computer applications, etc. In this paper, a content-based image retrieval method is proposed, which can be executed in fractal domain and does not need to do fractal coding of the iconic image. Thus the retrieval complexity and retrieval time can be reduced greatly. Experimental results have shown that the method proposed is very effective and better than the other three retrieval methods.
