%X MANET is a multi-hop temporary autonomous system of mobile nodes equipped with wireless transmitters and receivers without the aid of any current network infrastructure. Batteries typically power hosts in MANET, so energy conservation strategy is a critical criterion in routing protocol. The energy saving strategy is surveyed, some strategics are described and evaluated. Finally, the new research direction of the field is pointed out.
