%X The research achievement of monitoring techniques for steel corrosion in concrete structures is reviewed in this paper. The limitations of the traditional monitoring techniques as well as the requirement of the intelligent monitoring technique are put forward. The development of the fiber optic sensors and the wireless sensors in corrosion monitoring is discussed in particular. And directions of future research are also proposed.
