%X The TE and TM mode field expressions and their general coupled characteristic equations of the dielectric coaxial resonators (any number of interfaces) placed between two parallel conducting plates or placed in shield are derived. Particularly, the dielectric coaxial resonator (three interfaces) is studied and calculated in detail. And curves and tables of dominant mode and some higher-order modes resonant frequencies varied with the resonantor geometry and dielectric properties are given
