%X We describe and demonstrate a new interferometric phase compression theory,and apply itto current sensor in high voltage. This theory has been verrfied in experiment. The linear range of theproposed method are many times than that of coventional two - beam interferometers. The otheradvantages of this method are stable orthogonal operation condition and insensitivity to slowly varyingfluctuations such as temperature drift and vibration.
