Methods The elastograms of breast patients with 68 solid lesions were evaluated using the Toshiba' s ultrasonic elastography quantitative analysis soft- ware. The 68 lesions were diagnosed as benign and malignant by operation and pathology. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves were used to assess the diagnostic value of the elasticity rate of partly and en- tirety rate. Results The areas under the ROC curve (AUC) of the two modalities were 0. 919 (partly) and 0. 853 (entirety) , respectively. The difference between them was significant. When the entirety elasticity rate was 3.48, the sensitiveness was 85.7%. and the specificity was 78.8% ; and the partly elasticity rate was 32.05, the sensitiveness was 97. 1% and the specificity was 81.8%. Conclusion The entirety and partly elasticity rates are helpful for evaluating the tissue rigidity and distribution, meanwhile which are valuable for differentiating benign and malignant breast lesions. %K Ultrasonography %K Elastography %K Breast solid lesions %K Diagnosis %K Quantitative analysis
