%X The design theory and fabrication technique of the optical circulator with pris-matic polarizing beam splitter and its applications in the fibre communication and sensingsystems are presented in this ljaper The parameters of the optical circulator fabricatedhave been measured with an insertion loss less than 2.8dB,isolation ratio greater than 25dBand echo-wave loss greater than 40dB, The characteristics of the device are insensitive tothe polarication of the input light
