Large C60 single crystals, up to a size of 0.6 mm×1.0 mm×2.0 mm with quite smooth and shiny faces, were obtained. X-ray diffraction, electron diffraction and X-ray morphology were carried out and showed that the quality of large C60 single crystals grown by the double-temperature-gradient technique is excellent. In this paper the experimental results of the growth of large C60 single crystals are reported and the morphological and structural characterizations are discussed in detail. %U http://www.alljournals.cn/get_abstract_url.aspx?pcid=6E709DC38FA1D09A4B578DD0906875B5B44D4D294832BB8E&cid=47EA7CFDDEBB28E0&jid=CD8D6A6897B9334F09D8D1648C376FB4&aid=9EE9947828CAE3402BB6F2343F97119E&yid=3EBE383EEA0A6494&vid=38B194292C032A66&iid=94C357A881DFC066&sid=5DCBAAB000A70168&eid=683005D16807E4FE&journal_id=1009-1963&journal_name=中国物理&referenced_num=1&reference_num=0
