%X The third order optical nonlinearity is anisotropic and dichroic in zinc - blende semiconductors.The polarization state and the polarization orientation are various for a polarized input in them. In thispaper, we derive the nonlinear propagation equations for which a linearly polarized optical wavepropagates in zinc-blende semiconductors. Using these equations, characteristic of polarization stateevolution is analyzed.
