%X Conductive organic coatings were obtained by filling carbon black(CB) into fusion-bonded epoxy(FBE)powder coatings.Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS)was used to monitor the degradation of FBE coatings on mild steel immersed in 3% NaCl solution.The experimental results showed that the protection performance of conducting FBE coating is much better than that of the corresponding insulating FBE with lower CB content.The excellent protective property was atributed to that the formation of CB continuous net in CB conducting film greatly improved its permeation barrier properties for corrosive species.This conclusion was confirmed by the results obtained from thermal gravity analysis(TGA),differential scanning cabrimetry(DSC)measurement and visual inspections for substrate underneath the FBE films.
