庄大明 %A 刘家浚 %A 朱宝亮 %A 罗振壁 %A 苗赫濯 %J 材料研究学报 %D 1997 %I %X The cutting experiments of four tools, whose materials were St3N4--based ceramics (FD03),Ti(CN)-based ceramics(FD22), YT15 cemented carbide, and high speed steel(HSS), respectively, to 304 stainless steel were carried out on a lathe. The cutting performances of the tools were evaluated at different machining conditions. SEM and EDX were employed to analyse the wear track morphologies and element diffusion at the interfaces of adhered layers and tools. The results showed that there existed an optimum tooling velocity for those tools except HSS FD03 and YT15 tools presented the excellent wear resistance, which was about 10 times that of FD22, under the condition of a longer machining distance, whereas HSS tool could not work normally due to its bad wear resistance. The wear mechanisms of these tools were analyzed. %K ceramic tool wear resistance cutting performance
