%X Polymethacrylate resin was prepared to load paclitaxel in this paper. The paclitaxel in the polymethacrylate films were characterized by FTIR, HPLC, TEM and DSC. It was found that the chemical characteristic of paclitaxel was not changed during the film manufacture process. The TEM result showed that the drug distribution in the film was affected by the solvent. The paclitaxel distributes evenly in the film when strong polarity THF was used as the coating solvent, but gathers on the surface of the film when weakly polar Chloroform as the coating solvent. Furthermore, the DSC results showed that the existing state of the paclitaxel in the films was affected by both the content of paclitaxel and the heat treatment on the films. There is crystal paclitaxel in the film loaded (mass fraction) more than 20% paclitaxel, but not for the 10% paclitaxel-loaded film. The annealing treatment can get more crystal paclitaxel in the films, which may improve the paclitaxel stability and diffusion in the films.
