It shows that the internal friction of foamed aluminium enhanced in comparison with that of massive aluminium, the internal friction decreased when frequency was raised and the internal friction has normal amplitude effect.The relation of the internal friction with frequency, porosity and pore size were derived from the equation of plane waves in elastic material with voids.
