%X New development of hot dip zinc alloy coating technology was reviewed.A Zn-Ni-Bi bath for hot dip galvanizing of reactive steels is better than that of the traditional zinc bath or Zn-Ni alloy bath;the addition of Sn to the galvanizing bath can retard the excessive growth of the zinc-iron alloy layer on reactive steel (>0.25%Si),the relevant mechanism is that a continuous film,which can hinders Fe-Zn intermetallic layer growth,will form on the top of the intermetallic layer due to tin in the bath.The industrial applications of hot dip galvanizing technology of Zn-Sn-Ni-Bi,Zn-Sn-V(Ni)and Al-Sn-Bi alloy were also introduced.
