%X The mechanical and thermal properties of TiC/Ni3Al composites with different Ni3Al volume fraction are first tested. The thermal stresses of TiC / Ni3Al FGMs in the preparation and working processes are calculated by the finite element method under thermoelastic assumption. Based on the synthetic analysis for the minimum stress, the minimum stress-strength ratio and the stress state of pure TiC side, the thermal stress relaxation design and structure optimization of TiC/Ni3Al FGMs are fulfilled. The results show that the linear compositional distribution design is reasonable for the FGM system.
