The results showed that the surface reactivity of acid-treated PE fibre changedsignificantly. Interfacial adhesion of PE fibre-reinforced epoxy resin composite detendned from short beamshear test was improved for acid treatment, which main reason was that covalent bond formed between oxygen-containing groups of PE fibre surface and epoxy groups of epoxy resin. %K PE fibre epoxy resin interface of composite
