%X In the present paper, ACRT is applied to the Bridgman growth of Cd0.96Zn0.04Te,The effects of ACRT on the Zn segregation in the Cd0.96Zn0.04Te are studied by comparing with standard Bridgman. The distribution of grains and the segregation of Zn in Cd0.96Zn0.04Te crystals are analyzed. The experimental results show to a great extent that the forced convection produced by ACRT eliminates the nucleation of freckles from the wall of the crucible and thus it is beneficial to obtaining crystals with large grains, but it increases the effective segregation coefficient, keff, and thus increases the axial segregation of Zn in the crystal.
