%X Material science under microgravity conditions is developed to the application-oriented research. In this paper, some examples are introduced in the field of new materials and technologies based on the results of materiaI research under microgravity environment in space. In the future, micro gravity material sciences should pay more attention to application-oriented ba5ic research and establish a theoreticaI ground for industrial production.
