%X he fracture detlections and fractal dimensions of fractured surfaces of the composite coatings containing multiphases were determined. The fracture characterization of the composite coatings was analysed and studied. The test results showed that the fracture deflections of the composite coatings and the fractal dimensions of the fractured surfaces decreased with increasing the contents of hard phases. For multiphase materials, the fracture deflection also has adverse relationship with fractal dimension.
