%X A kinetic equation of process of the internal nitridation below asurface nitride layer was derived.This equation is also applicable to the processof double internal nitridation.The steel 4Cr14Ni14W2Mo was nitrided in gase-ous medium of ammonia.The process was designed on the basis of thekinetic equation,and the expected results were achieved.The nitriding layer'sspalling of the steel can be eliminated with high temperature of nitridation andhigh rate of ammonia dissociation.
