%X Epoxy resin (EP)/Polyhexamethylene Carbonate Diol (PHMCD) systems were pre-pared by empolying two types of mixing methods. The reIationship between PHMCD size distribution and impact Strenght of EP/PHMCD was investigated by scanning tunneI microscoPy (STM), scan-ning eleCtron microscopy (SEM) and differential scanning caIorimetry (DSC). The resuIts show thatthe size of PHMCD region appears a unimodal distribution if the samples are prepared by one-stepmixing method. Howevre, in the case of prereaction method, the size distribution of PHMCD region isbimodal. The impact Strength of the epoxy with bimodal distribution of PHMCD region is higher thanthat of the epoxy with unimodal diStribution.
