%X Based on the fractal geometry,the fractal Brownian model of the secondaryelectron image is founded and the quantitative measure of the 3-D micro-morphology ofgraphites is proposed by using digital image processing(DIP)system as a means ofinfomation processing.It is proven theoretically and experimentally that the new quantita-tive measure means can measure the real 3-D morphology of graphites and is invariant tothe linear transform of the intensity of secondary electron image.Furthermore,the experi-ments show that the new method can successfully reveal the relationship between the pro-cess technique of spheriodal graphite cast iron and the 3-D morphology of its graphites.
