%X TiC particle (TiCp)reinforced Ti-6Al-4V alloy matrix composite has beeninvestigated because there is good bonding and compatibility between reinforcement and Tialloy matrix.Ti-6Al-4V alloy containing 15% TiCp had been processed via a P/M routefollowed by hot extrusion.This paper describes the research works on microstructureevalution,mechanical and physical properties,creep behaviour and fractography ofabove-mentioned composite.The TiCp/Ti-6Al-4V composite has advantages of highstrength,high modulus and better elevated-temperature resistance.The composite can beformed utilizing conventional metal forming technologies and more isotropic thancontinuously reinforced composites.
