%X An analysis has been conducted to study heat transfer perfor-mance in the fibrous insulations.An analytical expression is presented,whichrelates the effective thermal conductivity with mean temperature,air thermalconductivity,density and extinction coefficient of the insulations.The rela-tion of extinction coefficient which depends on temperature and density wasobtained from the experiment for the ceramic fiber segment.The expressionis satisfactorily in agreement with the measurement data.
