%X The Nd ion distribution in YAG and YAP single crystal fibers has been de-termined with method of X-ray electronic probe.It is shown that Nd ion distribution ishomogeneous along lognitudinal direction but nonhomogeneous among horizontal section,higher in centre but lower in edge.The results were discussed with a theory of floating zonegrowth.
