%X Effect of alloying elements on the precipitation and tensile properties ofAl-Li alloys was studied by hardness measurement,tensile test and electron microscopyobservation.Results indicated that the increase in Li content caused high Strength and lowductility.Higher Cu and Mg content encouraged the homogeneous precipitation of S'phasein the matrix.Widespread precipitation of S'phase decreased slip coplanarity and promotedhomogeneous deformation,therefore,the strength and ductility of the alloys containinghigher Cu and Mg content were improved.
